Wir hatten bei Ranzen-Kontor einen wirklich bezaubernden Termin zur ersten Einschulung unseres ältesten Sohnes. Ein besonderer Moment, den sich die Oma nicht nehmen lassen wollte und die den Schulranzen spendiert hat. Die Beratung war absolut kompetent, sowohl was Qualität und Funktionalität angeht als auch in Sachen Rückengesundheit. Es wurde wirklich alles getestet, wie der Ranzen beim Laufen, Rennen und Springen sitzt und komplett auf unseren Sohn eingestellt. Da er für sein Alter schon relativ groß ist, kamen manche Modelle infrage, andere nicht. Genau das wurde fachlich sauber berücksichtigt. Trotzdem durfte er sich am Ende selbst für sein Wunschmodell entscheiden, samt seiner Lieblingsthematik "Star Wars". Ganz besonders hervorheben möchten wir die Verkäuferin Tina, die uns mit sehr viel Fachwissen und gleichzeitig unfassbarer Herzlichkeit begleitet hat. Unser Sohn konnte seinen Namen stolz an die Tafel schreiben und mit seinem neuen Schulranzen ein Erinnerungsfoto mit Urkunde machen. Dazu gab es noch tolle Extras wie eine Sammelmappe, Patches und Reflektoren für den Schulweg. Es wurde wirklich an alles gedacht. Das ist etwas völlig anderes, als einen Schulranzen anonym online zu bestellen. Hier trifft Fachkompetenz auf Herzlichkeit und Empathie, die einen Schulranzenkauf zu einer unvergesslichen Kindheitserinnerung machen. Dafür von Herzen Danke und viele Grüße von Vincent und Familie.

Das war ein ganz toller Termin 🫶. Ganz lieben Dank an die tolle Mitarbeiterin, die sich super Zeit genommen hat und ganz toll mit meinem Sohn kommuniziert hat! Die Auswahl an Ranzen ist aus meiner Sicht sehr umfangreich :-). Am Ende haben wir ein komplettes Set gekauft. Ranzen, Sporttasche, Brotdose etc und sogar die passende Zuckertüte. Wir haben hier einen Koffer gekauft und finden: Ein Geschäft „wie früher” - und das mitten im Zentrum von Berlin! Tolle Preise, große Auswahl, exzellente Beratung plus (entgegen aller Vorurteile über Berlin) große Freundlichkeit. Die Verkäuferin hat uns mit viel Geduld die jeweiligen Vorteile der verschiedenen Kofferalternativen erläutert. Am Ende haben wir uns für einen Travelite-Koffer mit drei Jahren Garantie entschieden, der im Angebot war. Sympathischer Besitzer an der Kasse, der den Eindruck erweckt, dass hier jemand sein Geschäft mit Herzblut führt, „wie früher“ halt. Sechs Sterne! :-)

Wir haben einen Schulranzen für die Einschulung unseres Kindes gekauft. Die Beratung war, obwohl der Laden voll war und wir keinen Termin vorab gebucht haben, phänomenal. Do we need to book an appointment for a fitting?

It depends on what you’re after — and when. For a thorough first-school-bag fitting, we’d really recommend reserving a slot in advance. That way we can take all the time we need to try a few models together and focus entirely on your child — calm, unhurried, no pressure. Booking ahead keeps the whole thing relaxed and pleasant for your little one and cuts out the waiting around, which is exactly why families with an appointment always get priority with us. When a slot really matters: • Every Saturday • From Easter onwards, in peak season On weekdays in January and February you can often just pop in. And for suitcases, grown-up backpacks, school backpacks from year 4 and kita bags, you usually won’t need an appointment at all — we’re flexible for you even without one (just maybe a short wait). The easiest way to book is straight through our online calendar. We can’t wait to see you!

Where can I see your range?

You’ll find us right by Friedrichstraße Station, at Georgenstraße 24, 10117 Berlin. We’re open Monday to Saturday, 10:00 to 20:00, and we’re always happy to talk you through the selection while you’re here.

Honestly, the best thing is just to pop in and have a proper look around.

Your name throws me off — do you really only sell school bags?

Not at all — school bags are just the start. You’ll also find school rucksacks for older school kids, kids’ backpacks for kindergarten and free time, backpacks for everyday life, travel and work, leather goods in all sorts of styles, suitcases in every shape and size for any kind of trip, and travel accessories to round it all off. Whatever you’re looking for, we’re glad to help.

Can I buy from you online too?

We don’t have our own online shop just yet, but you can reserve or order your favourites and simply collect them from us by Friedrichstraße Station in Berlin. That said — especially for school bags, school rucksacks and everyday backpacks — we’d really recommend popping in, so we can find the ergonomic fit for you together and keep your back happy for the long run.

Do you have something for everyone — women and men, boys and girls?

Absolutely! We stock a huge range of brands, each with plenty of models, and most of those come in several designs and colours. With school bags, school rucksacks and kids’ backpacks especially, the choice is enormous — princesses, dinosaurs, animals, Disney characters, you name it — so there’s the right one for every child. And unlike shopping online, you can compare different brands side by side right here: shape, feel, materials, capacity and colour, all in person. Bring along everything you’d normally pack and see for yourself that it all fits!

Where can I park nearby?

Parking in Berlin-Mitte isn’t the easiest — but here’s a tip! There’s a great-value car park at Dorotheenstraße 30 for just €2 an hour (the next-closest one is €4.50/hour). Google reckons it’s only about a 400 m walk from there. Finding us: from the car park, head past Dussmann to Friedrichstraße, then turn right towards the station. Georgenstraße starts at the Rossmann corner — and we’re just a few steps along.
