The Satch Match is the largest model in the Satch school backpack range. It weighs 1,400 g and has a 30-litre volume that expands by another 5 litres with ease. The handy front flap adds extra storage, so there's room for a ball, a helmet, a jacket or a large water bottle too. That makes it a true all-rounder, brilliant for free time and sport as well. Inside you'll find two main compartments, an organiser section and plenty of small zipped compartments and pockets. The Satch match adjusts effortlessly to every body height between 1.40m and 1.80m via the various settings on the shoulder, chest and hip straps.

The Satch Pack has a 30-litre volume, weighs 1,200 g and offers plenty of room for everything you need during the school day. It has two main compartments with ample storage for books, folders and other school supplies, two stretchy outer pockets and great stability, so nothing gets jumbled up. Small bits and pieces like a calculator, keys and pens stay neatly organised in the organiser compartment. The Satch pack, too, adjusts easily to any child or teenager between 1.40m and 1.80m via the shoulder, chest and hip straps. Many Satch pack models can also be personalised with the stylish SWAPS in colours like mint, purple or blue.

The ultra-light one

The Satch Air is the ultra-light Satch school backpack and perfect for anyone who likes things a little lighter. It has a 26-litre volume, weighs just 900 g and has a very slim body. Even so, the Satch Air's main compartment offers plenty of room for books, folders, a lunch box and the rest. There's also an organiser section with zipped pockets for small items like a calculator and keys. As the ultra-light version of the Satch range, the Satch Air naturally comes with Satch's special ergonomic system too, which effectively protects the back. And every backpack adjusts to fit all body heights between 1.40m and 1.80m.

Wir hatten bei Ranzen-Kontor einen wirklich bezaubernden Termin zur ersten Einschulung unseres ältesten Sohnes. Ein besonderer Moment, den sich die Oma nicht nehmen lassen wollte und die den Schulranzen spendiert hat. Die Beratung war absolut kompetent, sowohl was Qualität und Funktionalität angeht als auch in Sachen Rückengesundheit. Es wurde wirklich alles getestet, wie der Ranzen beim Laufen, Rennen und Springen sitzt und komplett auf unseren Sohn eingestellt. Da er für sein Alter schon relativ groß ist, kamen manche Modelle infrage, andere nicht. Genau das wurde fachlich sauber berücksichtigt. Trotzdem durfte er sich am Ende selbst für sein Wunschmodell entscheiden, samt seiner Lieblingsthematik "Star Wars". Ganz besonders hervorheben möchten wir die Verkäuferin Tina, die uns mit sehr viel Fachwissen und gleichzeitig unfassbarer Herzlichkeit begleitet hat. Unser Sohn konnte seinen Namen stolz an die Tafel schreiben und mit seinem neuen Schulranzen ein Erinnerungsfoto mit Urkunde machen. Dazu gab es noch tolle Extras wie eine Sammelmappe, Patches und Reflektoren für den Schulweg. Es wurde wirklich an alles gedacht. Das ist etwas völlig anderes, als einen Schulranzen anonym online zu bestellen. Hier trifft Fachkompetenz auf Herzlichkeit und Empathie, die einen Schulranzenkauf zu einer unvergesslichen Kindheitserinnerung machen. Do we need to book an appointment for a consultation?

That depends on what you have in mind – and when.

For a thorough, expert fitting for a first satchel, we recommend reserving an appointment in advance. That way we can take plenty of time to try out several models together and focus entirely on your child – in a calm setting and without any time pressure. By working with appointments, we make sure the consultation is relaxed and pleasant for your child and that unwelcome waiting times are kept to a minimum. That's why families with an appointment always take priority with us.

On weekdays in January and February, dropping by spontaneously without an appointment often works just fine.

For suitcases, adult backpacks, school backpacks from Year 4 upwards and nursery backpacks you generally don't need an appointment – we're happy to help you flexibly without a reservation there, perhaps with a little wait.
